Mia, another day

another shriek (howl) is heard very close and many static-like portals open and spit out bugs and anials with holes where their hearts should be.

She stares, focusing on making a bow appear.

the creatures howl and charge at her

She clenched her hand around air that turned into a bow then drew the string back.

a small blast of energy kills all but one and it still charges after her.

She aims at it then let's go.

the hollow is slain and the soul dissolves into non-existance.

The bow disappears as she relaxes.

everything returns to normal as if nothing ever happened

She continues around the school.

Brandon flies overhead and settles in a wooded area.

She looked around the gym.

the girls athletic class was still in session and the boys watched from the bleachers waiting for their turn

as she walked back the world shifted again and a gillian attacks Brandon who is back in the air getting vaporized after a spitball.

She watched, then noticed the forest off in the distance.

She started walking towards it.

as she did he starts to feed on a pack of boars

She walks faster, wanting to explore the forest.

the forest is dense and trailless. the "path" is full of thick brush and close trees.

She moved through the brushes and tried going past the trees.

the "path" is rough and gets rougher as she contines before long she reaches a clearing where brandon is sitting in the shade and snoozing.
